Ryan has a rather unique perspective of the innate nature of Purpose. His biological mother was raped yet courageously gave him a chance to live and the beautiful gift of adoption. He "Not Equal" by Ryan Bombergerwas adopted at 6 weeks of age and grew up in a loving, multi-“racial” Christian family of 15. With siblings of varying ethnicities, he grew up with a great appreciation for diversity. Ten of the thirteen children were adopted in this remarkable family. His life defies the myth of the “unwanted” child as he was adopted, loved and has flourished.

Shawn Carney – CEO 40 Days for Life

Shawn began as a volunteer in the pro-life movement while still in college. During this time, he helped lead the first ever local 40 Days for Life campaign. Dr Alveda King

Dr. Alveda C. King is the daughter of the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King and his wife Naomi Barber King. Alveda is the grateful mother of six children and she is a doting grandmother.During the more than half century of her life, Alveda has worked towards her purpose of glorifying God in the earth by accomplishing many goals. Currently, Alveda is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serving as Director of African American Outreach for Gospel of Life, headed up by Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life. She also consults with the Africa Humanitarian Christian Fellowship, founded by her mentor, Pastor Allen McNair of Believers’ Bible Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.She is a former college professor, holding the Masters of Arts degree in Business Management. Her undergraduate studies in journalism and sociology helped her to become a published author, the most popular works being her best selling books Sons Of Thunder: The King Family Legacy, and I Don’t Want Your Man, I Want My Own. This inspirational collection of Christian testimonies is used at conferences and workshops around the world.Alveda’s Doctorate of Laws was conferred by Saint Anslem College. I was also jailed during the open housing movement,” she recalls.Alveda has continued her long-term work as a civil rights activist, speaking out on issues that face society today. “I believe that School Choice is a pressing civil rights issue. As a young college student Amy was raped and became pregnant. With no one to offer her a positive view of her pregnancy she felt pressured into an abortion which had huge negative repercussions on her life. She is now married and lives with her husband and 4 beautiful children in the north of England. Amy speaks passionately on the need for real support for women in crisis pregnancies the damaging effects of abortion and the importance of valuing every life no matter what the circumstances of their beginning.

Bethany Bomberger

Bethany will be doing some morning sessions with children based upon her new book PRO-LIFE KIDS. She says ‘It’s my heart to raise courageous and compassionate pro-life kids who will love the truth and shift the culture.’ 

Bethany has been an educator for two decades. She has taught in both public and private schools, working with thousands of children, youth and adults of all ages. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Family Studies from Messiah College and a Master’s Degree in Education from Regent University, Bethany has spearheaded innovative educational programs in her classrooms and the communities where she has lived. From talent shows to benefit concerts, scholarship programs to children’s camps, she has organized many successful endeavors. Bethany has also been featured in broadcast news segments for her work with Literacy Kits for Children in Afghanistan and the United Way Make a Difference Campaign. Bethany’s teaching career has taken her to four states and six different grade levels. She has been a lead teacher for special needs inclusion and gifted classes. She has mentored hundreds of students and numerous teachers and felt great satisfaction in knowing that others looked to her for affirmation and guidance.  Bethany belonged to the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and was active in School Planning Committees. Because she has a heart for reaching hurting and broken children with a message of hope and healing, she’s been involved in urban outreaches for years.

Fr Frank Pavone

FR. FRANK PAVONE is one of the most prominent pro-life leaders in the world. Originally from New York, he was ordained in 1988 by Cardinal John O’Connor, and since 1993 has served full-time in pro-life leadership with his bishop’s permission. He is the National Director of Priests for Life, the largest pro-life ministry in the Catholic Church. He is also the President of the National Pro-life Religious Council, and the National Pastoral Director of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and of Rachel’s Vineyard, the world’s largest ministry of healing after abortion. He travels throughout the country, to an average of four states every week, preaching and teaching against abortion. He produces programs regularly for religious and secular radio and television networks. He was asked by Mother Teresa to speak in India on the life issues, and has addressed the pro-life caucus of the United States House of Representatives. The Vatican appointed him to the Pontifical Academy for Life and to the Pontifical Council for the Family, which coordinates the pro-life activities of the Catholic Church. He was present at the bedside of Terri Schiavo as she was dying and was an outspoken advocate for her life.

Dr Kristen Collier

Dr Kristin Collier is currently assistant professor of medicine at the University of Michigan where she co-directs the program on health, spirituality, and religion. She also serves as associate program director of the internal medicine residency.

Dr Kristen speaks on the science of pregnancy, explaining how it is out-dated to think of the mother as simply ‘hosting’ her baby, she describes what is happening in the womb as a marvellous co-operative venture that lasts a lifetime. Dr Kristen is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine.
