Fiona Bruce is by profession a Lawyer. She is Founder and Senior Partner of the UK Law Firm Fiona Bruce Solicitors LLP, which has been based in the north of England for almost 40 years. Fiona was a Member of Parliament for 14 years 2010-2024 and served under three Prime Ministers as their Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief from 2020-24. During this period she was twice elected Chair of the International Religious Freedom or Belief Alliance, which under her Chairmanship grew to over 40 countries.During her time as a Member of Parliament Fiona focused on championing individual freedoms and human rights, both in the UK and abroad. Over several years she served on the UK Parliament International Development Select Committee (scrutinising UK Aid); the House of Commons and House of Lords Joint-Committee on Human Rights, and Chaired the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission.
Fiona was Chair of the Pro-Life All Party Parliamentary Group for over a decade, in which role she successfully spearheaded opposition against the Assisted Dying Bill in 2015. For many years Fiona also led a campaign in Parliament to strengthen UK policy in support of the family, including promoting the creation of Family Hubs. A national network of hundreds of Family Hubs has now been established in local communities across the UK, which continues to grow, supported by both the last Conservative and current Labour Governments.
